The Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk is located on 40 acres of private land.

A construction cost of approximately $6.5mil

The treetop walk was pre-fabricated in Launceston (Tasmania) and shipped to Melbourne. 20 trucks were used to transport the sections via road to site, where the structure was assembled and erected.

Commencing in Sept 2007 and completed in February 2008 the Treetop walk took 6 months to construct.

Approximately 30 jobs were created in the construction phase.

  • The cantilevers can hold a maximum weight of 28 tonne or 800 wombats!!

Our “Environmentally friendly” visitor centre comprises:

  • A café with seating for up to 120 inside and 110 outdoors
  • A retail shop for that special something
  • An information centre, ask our staff for things to see and do in the region
  • All water used in the facility is collected from the roof of the visitor centre
  • All waste is removed from site and recycled where possible
